As you can see my drawing skills have only mildly improved. My spelling is also still very bad.

Even though I studied graphic design, I always enjoyed illustration more. My first (and only!) proper job was as a designer at Jive Records. I had many happy days working there. I still remember fondly the heavy metal band who burnt all my ideas and sent them back to me. Rock n' Roll.

I went freelance to do more illustration and less straight lines, which I'm still not very good at.

I started writing my own stories when the books I was being asked to illustrate didn't make me laugh. (It's very important to have a good laugh). Which is why I love James Marshall's books and "The Stinky Cheese Man and Other Fairly Stupid Tales" by Jon Scieszka.

I'm currently working on some twisted fairy tales and lots more odd do and cat characters. I love drawing quirky animals but I don't have any pets. My three children would happily swap me for a puppy I think.. but hopefully my husband would stop them.
