It was great to meet everyone at the Hawthorne Center in Southampton to pick
the award for "Excellent Excuses (and other good stuff)" from Derek Burke the Mayor.
A MASSIVE thank you too everyone who took part, especially the children who voted.
I'll be back in April 2013 to do some more school visits too which I'm really looking forward to!
WORLD BOOK DAY 2013
"Tom Gates Best Book Day Ever! (so far)"
was been chosen as one of the eight £1 books for 2012 World Book Day on 7 March 2013.
I was delighted to take part in the big event.

Won the TOWER HAMLETS BOOK AWARD 2012.
The award, now in its 6th year, is for the fiction book voted by pupils in years 5 to 8 to be the best book published in 2011 or 2012.
